When working on personas it may be important to think about reality personas and aspirational personas
The reality persona
this is actually data storytelling, you compile all the behavioural information and the findings and patterns from information of the past
The aspirational persona
this is the creation of goals and attitudes and a projection to the future
PS: Sometimes it is clever to also have anti personas (the people you don’t or don’t want to work for), to differentiate.
